Preparing your Business in the Event of an Emergency
What would you do if there were a few feet of water in your business? What if the roads to your business were blocked or impassable. What if you couldn't get to your employees or they couldn't get to you. Are your files backed up digitally? Can you access important employee, client, financial, or insurance information from the cloud or offsite safely and accurately?
As a business owner or manager, these are some of the questions you should be asking yourself before an emergency happens.
Our local business community is critical to restoring Jacksonville's economy after a disaster. Every business, whether you have 1 employee or 500 employees, should have a business continuity plan. Regular business meetings should touch on your company's plan to stay operational or recover quickly after a disaster. Other topics to be covered could include; how you can be successful remotely, documentation of all your insured items and property, and how you will recover your losses, and/or how long it might take to become profitable again.
