Local Shelter Damaged by Hurricane Matthew

SERVPRO of Mandarin helped get a local shelter back up and running. They were flooded during Hurricane Matthew and we were glad to be able to volunteer our services. We were able to help residents and businesses with tear out, dry down, and equipment rental. IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) standards recommend the disposal of any porous items that come in contact with category 3 rising waters. Rising water can carry contaminants, sewage, and bacteria is unsafe to walk through and have in your home. It can be hard to part with sentimental items, but nothing is worth rising the safety of our family or pets.
